"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." Sometimes we forget that all our blessings and talents are God's gifts to us. When we're really good at something, it gets to our head and pride takes over our lives. Being poor in spirit means being humble and appreciating our talents and qualities! Humility can help us see ourselves and others better, and can help us stay true to ourselves.
Humility can make you a better person because it develops your personality. You have to recognize your flaws and accept the fact that you make mistakes. If people keep thinking that they're better than everyone else, they won't have the incentive to improve at all. We all have limitations. God gave us special talents to effect change when we figure out what our vocation is. Any job will include interaction between people, and we have to know how to handle tough situations.Being humble can help improve your relationships with others by being open-minded and caring. Working on these qualities can be the foundation of becoming a saint!
Life can seem too hard sometimes, and when tough times come, you have to be ready. The 8 Beatitudes are our guides to accomplishment. We can achieve a better life and a better personality. I've experienced so many problems, and being ignorant and not accepting my mistakes made everything worse. I've always found it hard to understand my own faults, but if you try really, really hard to fix things, you'll see that mistakes are there to help you become a better learner.
I chose this beatitude because it was the one I had to work one. I know my weaknesses and I need to shape up and try harder to be a better person. Sometimes I can be really arrogant and indifferent. This reflection made me realize that there are better things in life to think about. I need to be more positive, open-minded, understanding, and I have to remember that I owe everything to God.
The world would just be awesome if people took the beatitudes seriously. We would be able to work together peacefully and happily! It'd be a more bright, amazing place and there'd be no violence. I think we're getting there, we just need constant reminders and inspiration! A lot of people do practice these beatitudes, but sometimes we forget. We just have to keep in mind that God has to be the center of our lives and that we have to believe in Him to believe in ourselves too.
