“Platonic Love”

by:Pablo Julius Gabriel III Sr-E 12

In the world we live in today, there have been many beliefs on young love. Grown ups believe that it is not real and should be disregarded. They think that it is just a phase that teens go through and will not mean anything in the future. These teens, of course, disagree. They believe that young love can lead to something more than just a “phase”. These feelings of love usually start during high school with teens feeling that friends are more than friends to them. This starts courtship and eventually, if they are lucky enough, ends up with love. This is why I believe that love during high school is alright as long as it does not push limits and is not abused. Teens should always be careful about young love because it could lead to a mistake they could regret forever. They should also prove to their parents or guardians that what they have with that special someone is true and not just a “phase” as the grown ups call it. It should also never hinder one’s studies because love may be important, but studying is always a top priority. Love can never be wrong, it can only be considered void if the feeling is not real r mutual which is why we should always be careful of those we choose to love, so we do not end up getting hurt in the end.
