Faith in Him

by:Ram Adrias Senior A

Today’s Sunday Gospel talks about how we, the people of God, must never lose faith in Him. We Catholics must realize how important our faith in God really is. The passage that struck me the most was “Will not God then secure the rights of his chosen ones who call out to him day and night? Will he be slow to answer them?” The reason that this passage struck me most is because it is very much true. We have so much supplications and favors to our Lord that there are times we neglect to even have faith in him and to see how important he is to us. We always ask and ask and to be quite frank we only remember our Lord when we need something. That I think is very disappointing.

I took the DlsuCet a week later compared to my batchmates this was because we had a championship game that day and they had to move our test. I didn’t know if that was a good thing or a bad thing but I looked at it as another opportunity for me to study more. The day of my test came and I was nervous because Dlsu was one of my top choices. But what kept me going was the saying “Do your best and God will do the rest.” I certainly did my best and I put everything in God’s hands. Before the test I prayed a silent prayer for Him to guide me and make me remember all the information I can remember. I had faith in Him that He will help me.
God will never leave us. He is always there to help us and guide us. It is sad to know that some people only come to Him when they need something and I’m going to be honest there are times I neglect to say a little prayer. What I realized though was that God would accept me for who I am. I shouldn’t only come to him when I need something but he should be there every step of the way. In this way my faith will grow stronger and stronger each day.
