My Beatitude

by: Justus Fiedler Sr-B
The Beatitude that struck me the most was, “blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness sake for they shall be satisfied.” This Beatitude is for the people who fight for what is right. They fight for the common good. These are the people who are frowned upon on by the world because of their objections to the bad influences in society. Examples of these kinds of people are students who avoid or are against cheating in exams.
If I knew what was good for the people in society, I believe that that would aid me in becoming a saint. As I said earlier, the world is full of influences, and most of it is bad. If I could fight or show how to be a good example, that would influence others to be like me. Becoming a saint isn’t easy. You must learn to live a life of prayer, but I think one way of getting closer to God is by following his commandments and fighting for what I believe is right for the society.
I had a choice to sneak out with my friends and go to a club or to stay home. I was thinking of the fun I would have and the consequences that would be given to me. I then realized that sneaking out was not the right thing to do. I should always ask permission. I then told my friends that I wouldn’t sneak out anymore. They were probably mad at me because they wanted to go, and I was their way there. The next day we all heard that bad things happened that night and it was a good thing that we didn’t go anymore. It never hurts trying to do what is right because in the end, you are always a winner.
The most difficult one for me is, “blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be children of God. It is hard to bring peace between people, especially the people who have different beliefs. They argue or even fight for what they think is right. It is really hard to bring two opposing people together, but it isn’t impossible. These must be people that never give up and that have a strong personality so they can bring peace.
The 8 Beatitudes will make the world a more peaceful place. It will make the world a better place when everyone follows it. I think that everyone would be able to help each other. I also think that everyone would be able to live better lives. I think that following the Beatitudes will bring an end to the chaos in the world.
