In the gospel, some people were criticizing the stones of the temple when Jesus said to them that there would be no stones left there when the end of days come. A disciple asked when this would be happening. Jesus said to them that before the time comes, nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. Jesus added that before that time comes, the disciples will be persecuted first but they shouldn’t fear for theirs is the kingdom of God.
Basically, the gospel teaches us that we should always be ready because we will never know when the judgment day comes. In the gospel, Jesus tells us that when He comes back to gather all men, we should prepare ourselves to be with Him. I believe that deep inside the hearts of us, there is fear that resides in it. We should take that fear away; hence, we should be happy and rejoicing because we will be with God in eternal life but we cannot be with Him unless we submerge ourselves in our faith.
The time is very near but people don’t really care about this. In my own little way, I plan to deepen my faith in God. How can I do this? First of all, I will join recollections and retreat activities to reach out to those who are in need. I will try to have unity on the verge of diversity by organizing different groups that will help and make a lot of change in the society. Lastly, I will try to be myself in a sense that I will live my life to the fullest with no hesitations, with all my heart and with compassion.
