Romance during High School can teach you something

By: Rhozabel Rivadeneira Senior B CN26

Witnessing a friend’s change over time because he was “inspired” to do better than his best, makes me believe that having a romantic relationship can improve a person’s performance in school. There are many things that love can change in a person, be it in their personality and in their performance. In my opinion, relationships in school can teach students to act properly by acting like a gentleman or a lady around their boyfriend or girlfriend. It also teaches us the skill of multi-tasking and time management, which lets them learn on how to be a responsible person. Having someone in your life that you have great feelings for gives great joy and it also gives a person motivation to go to school and do well in their studies, so that they can be happy for each other’s achievements in school.  Your partner in school can be like your best friend; you can share each other’s opinions in different situations and respect them. Having a relationship can help one focus on their priorities, and this gives them goals to achieve. Loyalty, it is one of the most important values that you can learn in a relationship because you know that you’ll always support him or her every step of the way.
