Good acts come with rewards

Kevin Malaya- Sr-D

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.”
In our society today, people are fighting because of power, wealth, rights and other things. We always think of money and that causes us to do bad things. People always want to be on top that causes war. We are forgetting what God wants us to do, is to bring peace in His land. We are all children of God, therefore we are all peacemakers.
When we were baptized, we made a commitment to follow Christ. Jesus calls us to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. Fighting with others will break our commitment with him. Jesus is the best example of a peacemaker. He died for us just to bring peace here on earth. We should repay him by just following all his teachings and loving others. By just doing these, can make us enter heaven’s gate and can even make us a saint.
God wants us all to do good things so that we can be able to be with him in heaven. The Beatitudes can help us do that. Every beatitudes comes with a reward; this persuades us to follow it. As a Christian, I always follow the commandments so that I can have the best reward in the world, is to enter the gate of heaven.
“Blessed are the clean of heart, for they will see God.”
Having a clean heart is hard to do because it means that you are free from sins. Living a life of not sinning is merely impossible. Temptations always get me and that leads me to do evil acts. Going to confession regularly is also hard for me because I don’t think about sins.
Life would be easier if all the people follow the 8 beatitudes and the world will be a better place to live in.
