Parental Love

by: Joana Parrocco
Parents should not employ iron fist in disciplining their children but instead correct their mistakes by talking to them properly and showing them the right way to handle situations. Children are still learning about life, they maybe very naive at times but it is not an excuse to assault them physically or verbally. Parental Love is unconditional and unlimited and it is the most natural among human interactions. It is the first type of love we experience once we are born because we receive it from God and our families. It is the origin of love where a child learns the true meaning and nature of love. The child will soon appreciate the gestures of love showed by his or her parents. Parental Love strengthens family relationships and can be expressed in numerous ways such as preparing packed lunch to be brought to school by their children, checking up on them when they are already asleep and helping them with their home works and projects. Parents would do anything to let their children feel the love and teach them more about life. Now, children across the globe declines Parental Love but instead holds on material love. Children would do anything to get their hands on the latest gadgets and other new toys. This should be eliminated in the future to rekindle the special relationship they used to have.
Your children need your presence more than your presents.  ~Jesse Jackson
