Gospel Reflection
Luke 17:5-10
SEE
Last October 3, 2010, the Gospel was all about having faith. No matter how much little faith you have as long as you entrust all of your spirit to God, your faith shall never let you down. Just like in the gospel, if your faith is only at the size of a mustard seed, you will still be able to command that tree to grow into a fully fledge one based on your own belief. Faith exemplifies trust and commitment to one’s self to God and the Holy trinity. Having faith can be hard sometimes to defend, but faith itself shall save us.
JUDGE
Always be faithful in little things because our strength is to be found in them. God does not judge you on how little you have, and does not care about small wrong things. He does not mean anything to diminish. Everything is infinite when talking about God, his mercy and love is infinite. Practice fidelity in the tiniest things, not for their own sake but because of that great thing we call the will of God for which I myself have infinite respect. Simple actions CAN make a change. We should deliberately give up any desire to see the results of our work, only carry out what we are able to do as best we can, and leave the rest in God’s hands. What matters is your gift of self, the amount of love you put into each of your actions. Don’t give in to discouragement when confronted with failure so long as you have done your best. Turn away from praise, too, when you succeed. Offer every action to God and thank Him for letting Him do that thing to your accordance.. If you feel demoralized it is a sign of pride, showing you how much faith you place in your own strength. Don’t worry any more about what other people think. Be humble and nothing will ever upset you. The Lord has bound me where I am; he is the one who will unbind me. Just say the word and I shall be healed.
ACT
The message of the Gospel is very simple yet it is very hard to apply. Having faith does not mean morally by means of word, action always speak louder than words. I have to show my actions and gratitude and faith on God. I will everyday thank the Lord and start communicating with him whole heartedly starting from now on. I will connect with Him more and make sure that our friendship bond lasts until the end of time.
CONCLUSION
In a nutshell, the Gospel can be made into a simple message given, and that is: Have Faith. Simple? Yet very complicated to do. Simple acts can make a difference, and we should start believing and embracing our own faith in God. Believe in him and he shall never let you down as long as you trust him whole heartedly. After all, it is only through God that one achieves greatness.
