Today's Sunday Gospel is mainly about prayer and faith in God. The passage that struck me the most is "Will not God then secure the rights of his chosen ones who call out to him day and night? Will he be slow to answer them? I tell you, he will see to it that justice is done for them speedily. But when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?". It says that God can and will answer our prayers as long as we have faith in Him. The Judge who neither feared God nor respected any human being will not have the right answer to any problem that people tell to him. Even if he is on the right position of justice his decisions and thinking will not be what people intend to be thus he is left unjust and untrustworthy.
This Gospel speaks of faith, truth, patience, and hope. We pray to God about everything, from our personal needs to the needs of the whole world. We pray to Him when we are at trouble. We pray to Him when we need something. We might think that even after all those prayers nothing has happened but in truth God hears all our prayers and He can answer them all at once. It's all up to our faith that we can attain those prayers that we asked for. God knows what is right for us even though we don't know it yet. Praying is one thing but without our active involvment in our actions our prayers will be left for nothing. God knows if we deserve to get what we want that's why we should always strive to reach our goals and to have a steady faith in God. If all we do is pray and do nothing about it then consider it gone for with prayer comes our will to act.
To put this into action I will observe more faith in God, trust in Him that He will eventually grant my prayers and to reflect on my past actions in accordance to what I may do this week. I will strive to accomplish all achievements be it big or small. I will put my faith into God with utmost belief that I will finish this week without problems and anxiety, and I will keep in mind that God is always there for me no matter what.
