Do your job well.. then do a little more, from the heart

Do your job well.. then do a little more, from the heart.
Gospel #2 Excellent work by Pauline Batac

The gospel starts when the apostles ask Jesus to increase their faith. Jesus addresses their request by metaphorically speaking about a mustard seed and a mulberry tree. He also tells the apostles about the unworthiness of servants who only do their job because it is their duty but not because it comes from their heart.

I chose the video, Faith can turn failures to success: The Best Motivation. I can see the relation of the gospel to this video because it talks mainly about the power of faith. If we believe in ourselves and most of all, in God, we will surely achieve greatness. We must also keep in mind that sometimes, it is also not just about faith but also hard work. Like the servants, as well as the famous people featured in the video, they weren't always winners. But because they had faith in themselves and God, and worked very hard, they were gratified in the end.

The lessons I have learned from the gospel and the video have very concrete applications in our lives today. I, too, have difficulty sometimes to believe that God has something good in store for me but when I am reminded of his great love and his compassionate heart, I am not afraid. Some people go about their lives without passion, faith, and perseverance. To simply be a breathing being is not truly living. One must taste it, feel it, see it, enjoy it. Love life, and believe that faith can take you to great places one day. Who knows, that great day may be tomorrow.

So I say, never allow your faith to weaken. Because even through danger, fear, and anguish; a strong faith can get you through. Believe that through it all, God will be there for you no matter what. He will be there to save you and to love you when it seems that there is no hope left for better days.
