Reproductive Health Bill
Excellent work by: Kenji Koga
The RH Bill or the Reproductive Health Bill is rather a very popular issue in the Philippines today. The RH bill is bill that encourages men and women of the republic of the Philippines to use condoms and other contraceptives to stop population growth and start family planning.
The Catholic Church and the government are having issues to solve the problem of the RH bill. I think that the Catholic Church fail to see that the president is only taking care of the welfare of the people. On the other hand, the CBCP is anti-RH Bill is that they say that this can lead to abortion. Also, what makes the bill so controversial is that the Catholic Church is willing to excommunicate Noynoy Aquino as a Catholic because of his decisions that caters to the common good and the Filipino people. I think that this issue has gone way too far when there should just be an easy understanding about it. The church and government is suppose to be one in taking care of the welfare of the people and not go against each other. On the other hand, I’m pro the RH bill for the simple reason that to be a able to lessen population growth, child abuse, abortion, poverty and other issues that oppress our society today it all boils down to population growth. Population growth has many effects to the economical, social and ecological state of our society and one justifiable solution to this is the RH bill.
Despite all these fights against the church and the government I’m still hopefully for a better tomorrow for our country. They are both right in their own ways. Both have its pros and cons but no ones for sure what’s right all we have our are opinions and stands in the end it will still all be up to us to do that we think is right.
