Gospel Reflection 3: Have a little Faith

The gospel talks about a servant who has done what he was ordered to do. Even if the servant has done an agreeable job, he still didn’t get the benefit that he deserves. We, Disciples of Christ are obliged to follow Him, spread the word of God and live a life patterned with Christ. If we do all these things that would make Him happy, then we could get benefit that we deserve which is to be with Him in Heaven. To be with God in Heaven after life will be the greatest profit any servant would have. Truly happiness can only be fulfilled in Heaven with God.

Faith is one of the most essential elements in life. If we believe in God then anything’s possible. The video that I’ve watched made me realize how important faith is. Most people, even the most successful and famous have failed. It just proves that everyone is equal and all will experience failure. Life is full of ups and downs, sounds cliché but it’s true. We will encounter struggles that will make us weak and lose faith in God. Problems should make us stronger and have more faith in God. Even in our hardest times, we are not alone because God has always been there for us. He has made a plan for us therefore we shouldn’t blame God if things in our life have gone bad. We should look for a way out to overcome those problems and keep believing in God. I quote what says in the video “If you haven’t failed, then you haven’t lived. “

As a seventeen year old student, the struggles that I face would be failures on studies, misunderstandings with friends, disappointing my parents. I have done a bad job on my studies last year, and I am making it up this year by studying really hard and being the best that I can be. I took that failure as a lesson learned and I can say that it has made me stronger. As well as with my parents, I obey them and I respect them for they know what’s best for me. When I obey and be honest with them then there would be no fights. My relationship with my parents is better now. I am doing my best to become the best daughter they could have. If I do well in all things that I do, and follow God then I will get my profit someday just like the servant. I took the failures in my life as a challenge for me to become a better person.

I have deep faith in God that is why I believe that everything that happens to me, may it be good or bad is part of God’s plan. Hard times are part of life but if I have God and my family then I can face all my problems. I will do my greatest to attain complete happiness by being with God in Heaven someday.
