Gospel Reflection on Faith

by: Pablo Julius Gabriel III

Sr-E 12 Gospel #2

The gospel teaches us the value of having faith. It speaks of the apostles asking Jesus to give them a reason to believe in Him more. Jesus responds by giving them a story about servants who do what is asked of them by their masters without asking anything in return. Jesus also tells the apostles that if they have faith the size of a mustard seed then faith will be given right back to them. This shows that even a little faith can go a long way as long as we truly believe in it.

God is what makes things function in this world. It is He who is the source of life that we breathe. But God does not do this alone; it is the faith of the people that allows us to live freely in this world because faith is the true power behind all these things we are able to experience today. I say this because God gives us the tools in order for us to function as His people, it is only up to us to believe that He is the architect behind this world and that we have faith that he will not let us down. Faith is all that God wants from us, so we should every little thing to show him faith.

Lastly, faith is something that should be automatic to us. It is Automatic because there should be no questioning God’s goodness. We should always believe that there is a greater force behind all the things in this world and we should always believe that God is with us throughout everything that we do. If we have faith, then nothing will hinder us from accomplishing our duties because with faith, we know that God is there, watching and guiding us in all that we do.
