Gerard Gaspillo Mary, to all of us, is the mother we all share and cherish. She is the perfect example of what Jesus wants us to strive for: to become good christians that strive to do good no matter what the situation, culture, or trend is in the present society. She is, just like our mothers, the one who is hurt whenever we are hurt, the one who is happier whenever we are happy, the one who will never leave even when everyone else has.
I look to Mama Mary as I look to my mother; just like my mom, Mama Mary tries her best and never abandoned me whenever I pray or ask help from her. Just like my own mother, she provides me with the things I need though the "things" are not material things but things that are not seen, not heard, and not touched yet felt. She gives me inspiration, to strive to do better in everything task I undertake. She gives me the strength to go on, whenever I feel like giving up. She pushes me to do better, be it in academics or simply in being a Christian.
Mama Mary, to me, truly has been and will continue to be a mother to me. She is the greatest example of what a mother is and I am proud to be a "son" of Mama Mary. She has affected all of our lives in one way or another and without her, we would not get to where we all are right now.
