One fine day of December 2006, my family arrived in the Ninoy Aquino Airport of the Philippines. When my parents told me that we are going to the Philippines for several years for the education of my brother and me, I was just so excited to go abroad. I wasn’t thinking anything about my future. I didn’t know what to do when I become an adult.
Spending youth in the Philippines changed my life. At first I had hard time adapting myself to new environment. New school and friends with different languages and cultures… it was indeed tough times. But soon I could find myself getting used to the new surroundings. And I started to thinking about my future. I want to learn more languages aside form English. And I want to study International Relations and Affairs in college. So my very concern these days is to get into college I want. Now I know I want to do and I want to do it for God. I want to do things that I can glorify His name.
When I first came here, I was immature. But now I find myself developed. Philippines mean a lot to me. It’s the place where I met God, and where I dream my future. I will never forget my memories here in the Philippines even if I go to other countries.
