The Samaritan in the gospel, threw himself on the ground at Jesus' feet and thanked HHm once he was healed. Samaritan used to be enemies of the Israelites and Jesus still cured him. Jesus doesn't choose. He is open to anyone who believes and have faith in Him. We should never lose faith in Him because He is always there ready to help us. He died for us. He died to cure us from our sins, yet there are times when we still forget to thank Him and the Lord. God will never leave us. He only asks us to do His will and to thank Him for all the blessings He has given us. We should all ask ourselves, Do we thank the Lord for all the blessings He has given us? Most of the time we only talk to God when we are in need of help and we tend to forget to thank Him once we get what we asked for. Does He complain? We must admit that we are all sinners and imperfect, yet He still accepts us and helps us in every way.
The gospel only reminds us that we should never forget to go back to God. He is willing to give us what we want or even more especially if it is meant for us. It should be in our hearts to thank Him and to praise Him. It is now our duty to heal those wounds we've made and be Jesus in the world.
