Gospel Reflection on Faith

Excellent Work By: Carmina Guerrero Senior A

The gospel compares our faith that of a growing mustard seed, a story which Jesus told his disciples. He also exclaims that whatever the master tells the servant, the servant must obey under all circumstances. It is the servant's duty to obey.

The importance of faith in humanity is that of greatness. With faith, one will live eternal happiness with God in the end of time. For now we are called to do our Christly obligations such as mass, evangelization and prayer but these are just small acts of faith that we must always put to practice. Because when the time comes, Lord will be with us to judge the faith that we have planted in our hearts, minds and souls.

We are servants of God. If we find it hard to follow all his commands, theb we must always think of reasons why we should obey him. First we muat think that what He asks us to do, what His will says and therefore will benefit us in the end. We must follow Him becaus He knows whats right for us. We must follow Him to show how grateful we are that He created us and everyrhing around us. And lastly, we must never forget that it is because we love Him that is why we obey Him.

As La Sallian, being a true faithful follower of Christ does not require martyrdom. We can be The Lord's soldiers in our own little ways. Prayer, mass, offering, sacrifices, good deeds and spreading His good news are just some of the common things we can do regularly. If we want to increase ourfaith, then we must extend our hands and hearts so that we venture into a bigger world of faith.

Faith is everywhere. Some just say they dont have it as an excuse to obey their Master. We all are Christ-like at heart. I hope that many of us realize the effects of becoming a true soldier of Christ and a lasting happiness with our dear Father at the end of time.
