GO FOR GOLD

Best Work By: Kevin Malaya- Sr-D

My Life started in the fourth district of Laguna which is Sta. Cruz. I came from a family of doctors who happens to run a hospital beside our provincial home. Maybe this is the reason why I developed my passion to enter the medical field. Seeing all the patients everyday inspired me that someday I will be service to them.

It’s not easy to become a doctor. You have to be hardworking, dedicated, smart and goal oriented. I think I have these characteristic to fit in this career. It will be a long process but I know this is what my parents and God want me to do. My Dad was also one of the reasons why I want to become a doctor. He inspired me to become one. He earns a lot of money for being a surgeon and I can say that he’s having a successful life. Even if we’re seven in the family, he still manages to provide all our needs. This is why I know that being a doctor will lead me to greatness

I think the most important in my life right now is being able to pass any colleges. It is the first step to have a career in life. Not getting in to any colleges is one of my fears when the school year started. A prestigious college matters to my parents. They want me to get in to Ateneo, UP or DLSU. But for me the kind of school doesn’t tell if a person will become successful or not. I believe it is all up to the person if he or she will work hard for it. Not all students gratuated from ateneo become rich. Some are just average salary workers and some became unsuccessful. What I’m saying is no matter what college you are from it’s still going to be you who will make decisions that can make you have a better life.

One of the things that I always cherish the most is hanging out with my friends and family. I always feel happy when I’m with them. They are always there if I’m down and they give their best just to help me. They are always ready to back me up in everything we do. I don’t know what I will do without them.

I have learned so many things in high school but I think the most valuable lesson I have learned is to go for gold. Always give your best in everything you do. You have to believe in yourself that you’re the best so it will motivate you to work. This is the key to success
