CL Gospel Reflection # 2

SEE The Sunday Gospel is about the rich man and Lazarus. While both of them were still living their lifestyles were very different from each other. The Rich man had everything a man on earth can dream off. He lived a very comfortable life he is a man of means and he never experienced any suffering in his life. Lazarus on the other hand lived a life full of suffering and agony. His life on earth was like a living hell. He would look at other people eating and enjoying their life and he would just suffer. And when they both died Lazarus went to heaven and the rich man went to hell.
JUGDE What the gospel is trying to say is that we should learn how to live with suffering. We should sacrifice and do things that would benefit others not always the things that will benefit ourselves. Sometimes in life we should learn to leave our comfort zones and suffer like Christ. We should join Christ in his sufferings by sacrificing in our lives even in our own small ways. For suffering here on earth would mean a big reward in Paradise.
ACT As a Student and an active Christian I will do my role and sacrifice in my own small ways. For example I will do sacrifices like giving my spare time to charity work and church activities and doing chores and errands for my parents. Study hard every day even though it’s boring and it will eat up my time. I will do all these sacrifices and I will offer these sufferings to the lord like Lazarus who suffered on earth for the reward in heaven is great.
