Israel was created by Yahweh as His chosen people. Despite of its being the lowliest of all the nations, Israel stood to please God and was considered by Him to be His own. In the Old Testament we learned that Israel was smallest and the most insignificant tribe among the twelve clans of the entire people of God. And yet, the lowliness and humility of Israel as a humble and faithful nation who never fail to love and worship Yahweh, pleased God and thus He continually supported it as his own. Israel went through a lot of things both glorious and painful. They were the people who were sent into exile in Egypt for many centuries yet as they grow in number the Egyptians started to make their lives more difficult for fear of being out witted and out smarted by them. Israel as a nation stood up despite the cruelty of the pharaoh Ramses II who saw to it that these Israelites will never overpower them by becoming more and crueler to them and giving them heavier works of loads such as building and constructing the pyramids of Egypt.

Yet the Lord took pity on his people. He sent prophets to bring them all back to the Promised Land. Moses and his brother Joshua took the great journey of bringing forth an entire nation out Egypt and eventually freeing them from slavery. This made Israel one famous nation and its being created by Yahweh as His people are something that all Christians of the world should be grateful. Had Israel not been created by God, we will never have our own religion, we will never have our salvation and we will never have known a god as wonderful, loving and providing such as our God Yahweh our mighty Lord.
