MINOR PROJECT:
TOUCH THE SKY
By: Luis Tanjuatco (Senior D)
As we get older, we learn more and gain experiences in our lives. We meet people on the way who help us become who we are. These people also benefit in who we become and who we will be in the future. My dream is that when I’m older, I want to be a pilot.
My family and parents are the ones who motivate me in what I should become when I get older. They are the ones dearest to my heart and who are the ones most important to me. My parents are the ones who helped me choose what I would be when I get older. They are very supportive of me and they want me to pursue and reach my goal in becoming a pilot. I have the characteristics of being a great pilot someday. I’m very kind, patient, smart and helpful. These are good traits that can help me meet new people and reach my goal. But everyone is not perfect. I think that I am very sensitive to at times. This can bring me down a lot because people tease me because I am like that. Even though I am sensitive, I’m still strong and I keep my head up. I should never feel down and I should always look forward.
Professional success for me is not only just getting high salary and being praised for what I achieved, but also in the act of helping others and making them happy. This kind of success can help a lot of people. For me, my role model is my dad. I find him a very successful man not only because of money, but also he helps people. Helping people is one main reason why people should work. My dad used to work in the airport helping people around the place. This influenced me in choosing what I wanted to be.
The best thing that I have done that has made me happy is helping others. When I help others, I always see them happy. When I see people happy, I’m happy for them. Helping through little things can make one big contribution to that person. I thought of being a pilot not only because of flying, because I like to see people happy traveling too. Helping people get to where they want to go makes me happy.
Lastly, the most valuable thing that I have ever learned is to never give up and to always aim high. Aiming high gives out the best in oneself and shows everyone that anyone can touch the sky.
