Personal vocation/career reflection essay:

Instructions. Listen to your heart. Reflect seriously. Ask yourself: What do you really want to become in the near future. You are the master of your life. Write from your heart. In an ESSAY format: introduction, body and conclusion, please answer the following guide questions with all honesty.

Make your own ORIGINAL Essay Title. Example: “To Become A Lawyer: My Earnest Goal in Life”

Note: You may answer the guide questions below in random order and at least 10 of them….

Deadline for Srs.-A-F: Friday, October 8, 2010, 12midnight (Online submission) or Thurs. for hard copy.

As you think about your life’s work and listen to your inner voice, in what direction is your future calling you?

What is really important in your life in the past, today and in the future?
What really matters to your life today in general?
What are the aspects of your life where you can do best?
What are your weaknesses and limitations?
Of all the things that you’ve done, what has made you happiest?
Of all the things that you’ve done, what has satisfied you the most?
What is the most valuable thing you’ve learned?
What is the best thing you’ve done to help other people?
Who is your professional role model? Why?
What qualities does he/she possess that have earned him/her your respect?
What are your gifts and how are you being called to use them?
How have your parents’ occupations influenced your choice of vocation?
What emotions and values have impacted your selection of major and career?
How do you define professional success?
Are you making time to be still and listen to your inner voice? What are you being called to do?
Who can you rely upon to support you in the decision you make regarding your vocation?
