In The Gospel, Lazarus was waiting for the rich man to give him anything he throws at from his house. The rich man did not do anything to help Lazarus. Lazarus waitied until he got weaker and weaker until he died. The moral of the story is that we enjoy our pleasurable life. Having most of the things we want like good food, a nice house, having allowance everyday to school, and luxurious items but we never become satisfied and we end up asking for more things we want.
We never realized that something out there is somebody that needs help. We are like the rich man. We ignore the ones who are in desperate need and mind our own business. But in the eyes of God, we are one family. We help each other if someone is in need. As a reward, God will give you a good life in heaven. But we often ask for forgiveness when we realize that what we did was wrong.
The moral of the Gospel is that when someone is asking for help we should be ready and able to support the problem. As a Lasallian, I should lead as an example to other people that anyone can become a helper of Christ. There will always be riches in heaven as long we follow what the Lord tells us to do.
