Best Work of Renz Que "PLAYING FAIR": CL Minor Project 1 on Vocation/Career Finding

Renz Que Sr. B
PLAYING FAIR
In our world today, men and women want to have more money, more power and a higher social status, a sickness we call greed. Everyday a rich man gets richer doing nothing, but sit down on a comfy chair ordering someone to get his coffee while a less fortunate man struggles to find food to satisfy his hunger. I know that almost all wealthy men and women worked hard to get to where they are now. Some of them might have been financially supported, but some of them started with nothing in their pockets.
Did you ever wonder if the famous rich people you hear about a lot were whether born poor or rich? It turns out in the last century and few decades, most of the millionaires or billionaires were rather self-made. They didn’t have the money and luxury they have now when they were born to their parents. Of course, some of them did get help from their parents but they add more values to the assets and properties and thus became rich. Before those people became rich some of them lived in streets, studied in a public school or looked for food in garbage cans. These are the few people I idolize, to start from nothing and become millionaires. You’d think that I want to be like them because I want the money, fame, and satisfaction of being rich, but no, I want to be like those people who started from nothing and are now rich because they come back from where they came from and help the less fortunate people around them. J.K. Rowling, Oprah Winfrey and Dikembe Mutombo are some examples of people who care about the poor.
Henry Si, commonly known as the owner of SM, fires employees after working for him at minimum wage for 5 months because at the 6th month, owners are required to give health insurances which will cost a lot of money. Do you think it is fair to fire a person of its job just because you want to save money? Don’t you think that’s not playing fair? I too hope that one day I will become filthy rich to help people in need, but I think helping the poor isn’t the only way to solve poverty and famine. I believe that giving employees in supermarkets, school, and at home the proper paycheck is another answer to help lessen poverty. If we do our part right and not get infected by the sickness call “greed” I am sure that our economy will rise slowly and everyone will live a happy life. So for all those future businessmen like me, try Playing Fair.
