A rich man lived his luxurious life while a beggar named Lazarus lie in sores at the door of the rich man. The rich man never showed charity to Lazarus. When they both died,
Lazarus went up to heaven with Abraham while the rich man suffered eternal torment.
When you enjoy your life and become indifferent to others , you will not go to heaven. To be able to go to heaven you must show charity to your neighbors and share the
pain that others feel. Even though the rich man did not do anything wrong , he still did not do anything right to help.
We should be active as a Christian and live our lives as saints. Even if we do not directly commit sin, we can still commit the sin of omission. We are created by God to become a blessing to others, we should live by this fact and follow the path of Jesus. Happiness cannot be found if other people you are with are not happy.
