(Responding and understanding Maslow’s Need for Love and Belongingness)

-Opening Prayer, Greetings, Unfreezers/Animations and Attendance

Part 1.

Powerpoint Video about “My so-called life”

After setting the mood, the teacher will begin the activity by saying: we are what we are now because of the people who loved and didn’t love us…but let us forget those who hated us and focus only on the people who loved us affectionately…

Adviser will show some photos through a powerpoint about his family and loved ones then share to the club the happy moments he spent with them and who he is now because of them.
After which he will tell everyone to go to their groups and follow the mechanics projected in the multi media projector:
MECHANICS FOR THE ACTIVITY:
Each student in the group will be asked to share his her family album or pictures, introduce his/her loved ones to the group and share anything about them that contributed or made an impact in his or her present life.
After everyone’s sharing the teacher now will invite the students to hold each others’ hands, close their eyes and recall their childhood memories…
This time let them think of the many people, events and instances who and which made them feel bad and unhappy…invite them to acknowledge the pain caused by such circumstances…allow time for the students to undergo the experience(play background music, light the candles and turn off the lights)
After a few minutes invite the students to entrust their bad memories to God through a silent prayer of petition, that they me be freed from anger and hate caused by their past. This will be a moment to let God heal the inner child in them…
Tell the students to LET GO AND LET GOD TAKE CARE OF THEIR PAINS…and finally HEAL their inner child because only when we are free from the bondage of bad past experiences could we truly say we are genuinely HAPPY which will make us feel good. Truly a HAPPY STUDENT is A GOOD STUDENT.
A short video on RECONCILIATION AND PEACE follows to bring back the happy renewed mood. Group singing of the song:GIVE THANKS WITH A GRATEFUL HEART…
Closing prayer: AMA NAMIN. This will be done in a big circle holding each others hand with a crucifix and candles at the circle.
