Why Do Muslims Deny The Holocaust?
By: Cloyd Uyson
History is one great witness to the various events that took humanity to experience a truly roller coaster ride. One very controversial issue that seems unresolved up to these days, is the reality of the holocaust among the Muslim world. For the majority of the Muslim, the denial of the existence of the holocaust is actually rooted in their faith and very deep cultural and traditional belief that Israel as a country actually does not exist, thus its citizens, the Jews who themselves are the very center of the holocaust, is but an invention only of the creative mind. Because of this assertion, Israel is always in constant conflict with any Arab and Muslim nation simply because of their persistent and even annoying denial in view of the most painful event which happened to the Jews as a people. This is one of the reasons therefore why the war in the Middle East may not be resolved once and for all.
Muslims and Arab nationals both agree in saying that the very reason why Israel is talking and bringing to the open their claim for the holocaust, is primarily to enhance the very apt and obvious supremacy and legitimacy of the entire Jewish nationals and Israel as a nation. The Muslims have a very deep wound that may never heal against the Jews. And being the closest rivals since the early years of man’s existence, Muslims and Jewish people will never agree with anything no matter what, primarily with the holocaust.
The holocaust therefore for the Muslims is one big lie and a mere invention of the Israelites just to get sympathy and attention from the entire world. This is obviously a debatable topic among sociologists, theologians and even philosophers. This dispute on whether the holocaust is in fact a historical event will only be resolved through openness and a very good approach with the issue through a calm and fruitful communication.
