Destructing Walls and Building Bridges
It is difficult for many of us to find the right balance between choosing Christian views and political views. Unfortunately, it is even heightened with the situations posed for today’s generation to face. As time passes by, various problems pop up which aggravate the conflicts between science and religion, thus a greater challenge is given to the people in their search for the better option – a better solution to our social circumstances.
While I do keep strong devotion to my religion, I believe that we must also think realistically in our attempt to diminish the many problems we face today such as abortion and overpopulation. In thinking of a solution to these problems, I think that there are actual ways in which science may support religion, and vice versa. We must not disclose ourselves unto choosing one option and disproving the other, for I believe that our advancements in technology may actually give way to a morally upright solution in our battle against our social issues. We simply have to blur the walls that time has built which set the differences between science and religion. Subsequently, we must pave way for new bridges that connect and create the balance between the two.
Supporting the RH Bill doesn’t immediately denote that one is against his or her religion. He/she simply gives consideration to certain solutions to our problems. Certainly, though, I do agree that maintaining great value for chastity is the best way to solve them. However, in the absence of a concrete and immediate solution fit for our society today, I guess that due thought must be given by the public on the Bill, and from that better solutions be constructed.
